Heikki Kovalainen to miss practice after losing out to Jarno Trulli

Heikki Kovalainen will miss practice for this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix after losing a coin toss to team-mate Jarno Trulli.

One of the regular race drivers was destined to miss the practice sessions to make way for the Malaysian-backed team's Malaysian test driver, Fairuz Fauzy.

Following a suggestion from technical boss Mike Gascoyne, the race drivers decided to settle on who would miss the sessions with the throw of a coin.

"I picked tails," said Kovalainen.

Gascoyne added: "Both Jarno and Heikki are experienced drivers who do not need to do 40 laps in the first practice on a circuit that is familiar to them."
