The second £1.2 million Bertone Mantide has been sold to a buyer in Dubai.
Bertone, an Italian styling house, used the Corvette ZR1 as a base for the car, but has given it a different body, interior and shaved 100kgs from the kerb weight to add to the ’Vette’s already impressive performance.

Bertone claims that it has used both aeronautical and F1 influences to design the striking bodywork.
Wind-tunnel work has also paid dividends, as the drag has been reduced by 25 per cent over the donor car to 0.298. The Bertone Mantide also has a 30 per cent improvement in downforce over the ‘Vette.
Weight improvements have been wrought mainly through the use of lighter materials. It has carbonfibre body panels, interior trim, seats and wheels.
In total, ten Mantide's will be sold. The first buyer has not been named, although comedian Jay Leno is rumoured to be on the waiting list for a car.
