Service centres for classic BMW and Mini models to be set up

BMW is expanding its network of official classic car restoration centres.

The centres will work under the name of Classic Centres, and be set up in the same way as BMW's Historic Workshop, which maintains the factory's own classic car collection. The Historic Workshop already holds 30,000 components for historic BMW cars and motorbikes.

Services will include re-manufacturing discontinued parts to factory certification, certifying the authenticity of cars and bikes and preparing vehicles for re-sale.

A dedicated motorsport division has also been launched to tend to vintage BMWs and Minis. This division will offer support at events.
