Chrysler and General Motors will both auction off special models to raise money for survivors of the Haiti earthquake.
Chrysler CEO Olivier Francois has personally donated a special-edition 300C which features cork, bamboo and recycled materials in its interior.

The car has been signed by 300 celebrities including Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, Morgan Freeman and Samuel L Jackson. It is expected to raise around $1 million at auction (£620,000) and funds will be donated to the American Red Cross to help in its Haiti relief efforts.
“Looking at the devastation this catastrophe has caused to an already impoverished country, there is no doubt that we have a social responsibility to assist in any way that we can,” said Francois. “This will not be the only funding we will provide to this country on behalf of the Chrysler Brand and Chrysler Group LLC. There is more to come.”
General Motors will auction off the last of 427 special-edition Chevrolet Corvette Z06 models built in 2008 in addition to a $100,000 (£62,000) donation it has already made to the American Red Cross.
The Corvette’s value will be boosted by the fact it was the final special-edition model to be made that year. All were specially numbered and received a hand-signed plaque from the Corvette plant’s general manager, who retired in 2006 after 15 years' service.
Special features include a Crystal Red Metallic Tint Coat paint job, a Stinger-style stripe on the bonnet, chrome badging and spider-style wheels. Power comes from a 498bhp 7.0-litre V8 engine.
