Designers in Asia have created prototype traffic lights for the colourblind, using different shapes for each light.
The design features a triangular red stop light, a circular amber light and a square green light.
However, critics have already pointed out that colourblind people have driven for decades without problems simply by knowing the positioning and sequencing of traffic lights.
