A new Mercedes SLS has been hoisted 42 metres onto the roof of the company’s museum in Stuttgart.
The car had its gullwing doors open as it was lifted through the air and will be an open air exhibit on the museum’s roof.

To place the car on top of the building Mercedes used a 120-tonne hydraulic crane.
The 465 square metre outdoor area, which is not normally open to the public, will house the SLS from 6 to 16 October. “This will be a very emotional experience for our visitors,” said Michael Bock, managing director of the museum, “this super sports car stands for excitement, passion and high-tech.”
