New special edition Focus will sell alongside 2011 model

Ford has unveiled a new Sport special edition of its Focus model which will cost £700 more than the Zetec version.

The Focus Sport comes in five-door specification and customers are offered a choice of the 1.6-litre 99bhp petrol manual and the 1.6-litre 108bhp TDCi manual.

Equipment has been upgraded with options that would cost £1500 on the Zetec model now coming as standard.

These include Sat Nav with European mapping, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, voice control, parking distance sensors, 16in ST-style alloy wheels, automatic headlamps and wipers, and a self-dimming rear-view mirror.

Customers will have the choice of six body colours and the Sport will come with "New York Ebony" seat fabric.

The Focus Sport will cost £16,545 for the 1.6-litre petrol and £17,845 for the 1.6-litre TDCi.

It is on sale now and will continue alongside the next generation Focus throughout next year.
