XFR inspired interior, option of Adaptive Dynamics system

The Jaguar XF range has been revised, with the creation of a 271bhp Diesel S model with part XFR styling, plus the introduction of a lower entry-level price for the range.

The Diesel S, priced from £38,475, now gets an XFR derived interior as standard and the Adaptive Dynamics system, currently available on the XFR and XK range, as an option as part of a 'Dynamics Pack'. Adaptive Dynamics analyses the chassis movement and steering inputs 500 times a second and adapts the suspension accordingly.

The Dynamics Pack also includes 20-inch five-spoke alloys, and costs from £1250.

“We have applied the lessons learned from the XFR to bring more sophisticated, sporting driving dynamics to the Diesel S model,” said Mike Cross, chief engineer, vehicle integrity.

“Fitted with the state-of-the-art Adaptive Dynamics system, the latest Diesel S provides driving enthusiasts with taut handling and superb body control, but without the noise and harshness often associated with ‘sports’ suspension packages.”

An Aerodynamic Pack' is also available from £1500, rising to £2000 with LED lights. This styling pack adds black mesh inserts for the grille and lower air intakes and XFr style side sills.

In addition, the entry-level 3.0-litre V6 petrol Luxury model now costs from £29,900.
