The Renault Twingo range has been revised.
Changes include new trims, a new engine and lower prices and emissions on some models.
The new entry-level trim is called Expression rather than Freeway, and gets new upholstery and a slightly higher list price of £7695.
The Expression model will still be powered by the 59bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine, but the next two models up get a revised version of the 74bhp 1.2 16v engine.
The updated engine emits 119g/km of CO2 – a 16g/km reduction – and averages 55.4mpg, an improvement of almost 12 per cent.
A new trim, I-Music, has also been introduced, replacing Extreme. It is £600 cheaper and gets more kit, including a sports front bumper, aluminium-effect door mirrors and front foglights, and Bluetooth connectivity.
The Dynamique model adds alloy wheels, air-conditioning, sliding and folding rear seats, a height-adjustable driver’s seat and side airbags.
The GT’s engine now emits 132g/km of CO2 – a 6g/km reduction – while its price has dropped by more than £400 to £10,695. This is despite having an upgraded stereo and Bluetooth.
The two Renaultsport models now emit 5g/km less CO2.
The full range is available to order now, with the first deliveries expected in May.
