The 1.4 litre TSI uses both a supercharger and a turbocharger

Volkswagen has won the ‘Engine of the Year’ award for the second year running.

The 1.4 litre TSI uses both a supercharger and a turbocharger to power models from the Polo to the Passat CC. The award was organised by Engine Technology International.

The 1.4 TSI also won the 1 to 1.4 litre category.

Dr Rudiger Szengel, Head of Volkswagen Engine Development, accepted the award.
