Aston Martin has released the first pictures of the roadster version of its lightweight Vantage N420.
Like the coupé version, the Aston Martin V8 Vanatge N420 roadster is the successor to 2007’s N400 model and has been created to celebrate Aston’s achievements in racing at the Nürburging 24 Hours.

It is powered by the same 420bhp 4.7-litre V8 as the standard V8 Vantage, but it is now 27kg lighter than that car and also features several styling changes, as well as a revised interior and upgrades to the suspension and exhaust systems.
The N420 gets a carbonfibre front splitter, side strakes and diffuser and new 10-spoke gloss-black alloy wheels. Black mesh vents and a ‘Graphitic’ finish to the tailpipes complete the exterior changes.
Inside, it gets an ‘Iridium’ interior package encompassing graphite instruments, a leather or Alcantara finish to the steering wheel and lightweight carbonfibre seats with the ‘Race Track’ stitching from the V12 Vantage. Bluetooth connectivity, as well as cruise control and Park Distance control, are offered as standard.

The N420 is fitted with the normally optional Sports Pack as standard, which includes revised spring, dampers and anti-roll bars. A new sports exhaust system with a louder note is also standard.
New colours are also available to celebrate Aston’s racing heritage, including ‘Rose’ yellow, ‘Kermit’ green and ‘Elwood’ blue.
Prices for the N420 Vantage start from £96,995.
