The most sporting variant of BMW’s X1 soft-roader has been spied in testing for the first time.
These scoop shots reveal a lightly disguised BMW X1 sporting the forthcoming M Sport package. The BMW X1 M Sport will be similar to other models offered in BMW’s popular trim level, with both visual and mechanical upgrades.

The test car’s disguise hides a more aggressive lower section of the front-end, with a wider, deeper front bumper and air intakes inspired by M division’s X5 and X6 models.
Also disguised are the car’s wider side sills and pseudo diffuser fitted at the rear. The X1 M Sports will offer a new alloy wheel design, too.

Interior changes are expected to include sports seats, a special leather M division steering wheel and gear knob, M Sport badging, M Sport aluminium kick plates and a new headlining. Mechanical changes will to include special, more sporting M Sport suspension and exhausts systems.
The BMW X1 M Sport is tipped to launch at next spring’s Geneva motor show.
