Hyundai will launch the first of a brace of new MPVs at the Paris motor show next month.
A new compact MPV will be the sister car to the Kia Venga, but with its own distinct styling inspired by the HED-5 concept from 2008’s Geneva motor show and the new ix35 crossover. Its interior will be overhauled, too.

The as-yet-unnamed Hyundai MPV (currently codenamed JC) is ready for production and will go on sale in the UK from around £11,500 in the middle of November, after its Paris launch as a replacement to the unloved Matrix.
Engines will be shared with the Venga, meaning 1.4 and 1.6 petrol units will be offered alongside a 1.4 diesel.

A larger seven-seat MPV, also inspired by the HED-5 concept, will be launched in the 2011 and is pictured here in testing in the US. Paris will also be the location for the launch of Hyundai’s facelifted i10.
